Millions of Android devices are vulnerable to hacking due to GPU vulnerability
The Project Zero research team at Google warned of the risk of millions of Android smartphones being hacked due to the discovery of a defect in one of the graphics processing units (GPU).
The researchers said that the chip designer ARM was informed of a bug in the GPU, which in turn rushed to fix the security vulnerabilities. But the biggest problem is that the giant smart device companies, including Samsung, Xiaomi, Oppo, Pixel, and Google itself, have not published any updates related to the new security fixes, and for this reason, researchers advise users to make updates as soon as they are issued.
According to SamMobile, both Samsung's Galaxy S22 series devices and Snapdragon-powered devices were not affected by these bugs.
Google called on companies to stay informed of the source of any problem and to do its best to provide updates as soon as possible.
